Three hat bars, three very different rooms.

Recaps written the way planners debrief: the ask, the setup, what the line did, and what we'd repeat. Client names withheld where the contract asks; the photos are from the floors described.

MLS club hospitality lounge — San Diego

The ask: a premium keepsake for season-ticket members at a waterfront hospitality space, matchday atmosphere but country-club pace.

The setup: two draped tables against the glass, six cap styles in club colors, and a tight patch wall built around the crest — no novelty filler. Two presses ran side by side with a compact engraver for on-the-spot leather personalization.

What worked: capping the wall at 18 designs. Members made decisions fast, dwell time stayed social instead of stalled, and the crew pressed through the pre-match rush without a queue forming past the second table.

Company summit, stadium club level

The ask: an energy company brought several hundred employees and families into a stadium club concourse and wanted one giveaway that worked for a 6-year-old and a CFO.

The setup: a Double Rack build stretched across three tables — caps racked by color on one end, a 36-patch spread of chenille and woven designs in the middle, presses at the far end so finished hats exited away from the browsing crowd.

What worked: the one-way flow. Families browsed left to right, which meant the patch table never bottlenecked the press lane. Roughly 90 seconds per hat at peak, and the kids' patch picks became the unofficial contest of the night.

Street-fair popup — Hollywood

The ask: a brand takeover of a corner storefront during a neighborhood fair — foot traffic all afternoon, zero control over who walks up.

The setup: caps in the window as the lure, patch menu on a sandwich board outside, presses just inside the door where power was reliable. An add-on station handled totes and bags for guests who already wear a favorite hat.

What worked: posting the menu outside. People decided on the sidewalk, so the indoor line was all pressing, no browsing. The bag add-on captured a second audience — see the crossbody and sling results in the gallery.
